Venue Rental FAQs

Weekdays: Monday–Thursday
Weekends: Friday–Sunday
Holiday Rental Period: November 1–January 5
Event End Time: All events must conclude and guests must vacate the premises by midnight.

Reservations are confirmed only upon receipt of a signed Rental Agreement and a non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of the total rental fee. The remaining balance must be paid in accordance with the payment schedule outlined in the Rental Agreement. All deposits and payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Rental fees include exclusive use of the selected venue for the contracted rental period, standard building utilities, access to public restrooms, and basic venue cleaning following the event. Tables, chairs, and venue staff may be available depending on the selected space and event requirements. Additional services may incur separate fees. Rental fees do not include catering, alcohol service, security personnel, event décor, specialty furniture, audio/visual equipment, technical staffing, parking fees, event insurance, or additional setup and breakdown time beyond the contracted rental period.

Convenient parking is available at the Mid Main Parking Garage and nearby street parking. Valet Parking is required when there is more than one large event occurring at the same time. Only valet companies approved by the City of Houston can be contracted. Prices vary depending on the number of guests and the length of the event.

The Ensemble Theatre is ADA accessible.

Alcohol beverages are permitted. Service must be provided through a licensed caterer or bar service (TABC). Additional security requirements may apply for events serving alcohol.

Clients may utilize a licensed caterer of their choice. Caterers must provide proof of insurance upon request and comply with all venue policies. Access times for caterers must be coordinated in advance with venue management. The Ensemble Theatre has a list of preferred catering partners available upon request.

Basic venue rental does not include audio/visual equipment or technical support. Audio, lighting, projection equipment, microphones, and technical staffing may be available for an additional fee. Customized technical packages can be quoted based on event needs.
